Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Highlights Strategies for SME Growth at Fidelity Bank Business Forum

The Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) played a prominent role at the Fidelity Bank SME Business Forum – Port Harcourt Edition, held on June 3, 2026, at Osborn La Palm Royal Resort, GRA Phase II, Port Harcourt.

The forum served as a strategic customer engagement platform aimed at strengthening relationships with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and key stakeholders within the business ecosystem. It focused on understanding the challenges confronting businesses across various sectors, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth, and providing practical solutions through expert-led discussions.

A major highlight of the event was a panel session themed, “Unlocking Growth: Managing Costs, Accessing Finance and Scaling Across Trade and Supply Chains.” The session featured distinguished industry leaders who shared valuable insights on navigating today’s dynamic business environment.

PHCCIMA President, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, was represented on the panel by Mr Daboikiabo Jack, Chairman of the Chamber’s SMEs and NGOs Trade Group. Speaking from a broader industry and ecosystem perspective, the Chamber highlighted emerging trends, prevailing constraints, and growth opportunities available to SMEs. The presentation also offered practical recommendations for both financial institutions and business operators on fostering enterprise growth, sustainability, and competitiveness.

Other panelists included Itoro Morrison, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Bonjour Meals Limited; Mrs. Okaekwu Chinwe Ganiru Evelyn, Proprietor and Founder of Helms-Bridge Educational Limited; and Henry Oghenekevwe Erayen, Group CEO/Managing Director of Sommetvine Group.

The forum attracted a diverse audience comprising SME owners, entrepreneurs, business operators, and top and middle-level management staff of Fidelity Bank, further reinforcing its role as a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and business development.
