The President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, JP, FNIM, DSSRS has received a Delegation of Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) who paid him a courtesy visit at the Chamber Secretariat in Port Harcourt.
In his welcome speech the Chamber President noted that PHCCIMA and Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre have been in a relationship for the past 4years hence the need for proper synergy particularly in hosting of their annual trade exhibitions, adding that the Chamber has enough space that will not only accommodate the event but the Chamber will also mobilize her members to participate and exhibit their products.
The PHCCIMA Boss maintained that Rivers State government under the watch of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS has created an enabling environment for business activities to thrive, saying that PHCCIMA has since taken advantage of the opportunities created by the government to champion the growth of MSMES in the state.
Earlier the leader of Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre Delegation Dr. Immanuel Lingga thanked the President of PHCCIMA and his executive members for the warm reception, saying that the visit was his first time of visiting Port Harcourt.
He pleaded with the PHCCIMA President and his Executive members to participate during the Indonesian Trade Promotion Council exhibition holding on Thursday 25th July at the Sweet Spirit Hotel in Port Harcourt, and assured members that the exhibition will afford them the opportunity to strengthen their business relationships that existed between the Nigerian and Indonesian Businesses as well as veritable platform for networking.
Highlights of the visit were presentation of souvenirs to the august visitors and facility tour to Everyday Supermarket and Next Cash and Carry Supermarket.Present at the courtesy visit included: PHCCIMA President, Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, JP, FNIM, DSSRS, 1st Deputy President– Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, FIMC, FICA, M.IoD, 2nd Deputy President – Chief Engr.
