PHCCIMA TO PARTNERĀ  RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND ON CRIME REDUCTION

The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, DSSRS, FNIM, JP has called for synergy with Rivers Police Commissioner CP Nwonyi P. Emeka on crime reduction.

PHCCIMA President made the statement when he led members of the Chamber Executives on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police  Rivers state Police Command, Moscow road in PortHarcourt, Friday.

Elechi noted that PHCCIMA is a rallying point for business activities in the state, adding that partnering with the Police will help to identify people who hide under the cover as business  owners without proper registration with the Chamber of Commerce.

The PHCCIMA Boss further used the medium to informed the CP that the Chamber is about to hold its annual Port Harcourt International Trade Fair which is aimed at showcasing the rich potential of the State and to attract foreign investors.

In his speech the Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP Nwonyi P. Emeka thanked Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) President  and Executives for their timely visit, adding that PHCCIMA is a major stakeholder in the development of the state.

The Rivers Commissioner maintained that Rivers State state is naturally blessed, hence the need for all hands to be on deck in the fight against crime so as to  restore the lost glory of the state just as he mentioned that the Police is also working with other non governmental organizations  in the newly launched Police outfit called Rivers Zero Crime Campaign Initiative to eradicate crime in the state.

Those present at the meeting were the Chamber President, Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, DSSRS, FNIM, JP, 2nd Deputy President, Hon. Prince Charles Beke,  NPOM, JP, Treasure, Surv. Emmanuel Ogbonda, FCAI, Publicity Secretary,  Pastor Uche Onochie, Elected Council member, Chief, Amb. Emeka Ezekwe, former Publicity Secretary and Exco Supervisor of ICT and Commerce Trade Group, Pastor Oluwatoyin Alabi and the Director General, Mr. Erasmus Chukunda.
