PHCCIMA PRESIDENT CALLS FOR COLLABORATION WITH ORGANISED PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANISATIONS IN RIVERS STATE

PHCCIMA President Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, JP, FNIM, DSSRS has extended hands of fellowship to other Organised Private Sector organisations in building an Entrepreneurial Economy for Rivers State. The Chamber President made the clarion call when the State Chairman and Executives of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) paid him a courtesy visit at the Chamber Secretariat on Tuesday 3rd October, 2023. He asserted that collaboration is the key to the success of businesses in a our present challenged economy and called on all the OPS organisations to join the Chamber in executing and realising the Rivers State Government/PHCCIMA project on registration of MSMEs and SMEs in the State which is also spread accross the 23 LGAs of the State aimed at capturing all formal and informal businesses in the State and produce a reliable database for efficient business decisions and support by the Rivers State Government. He explained that registers will be opened in PHCCIMA Secretariat, Rivers State Ministry of Commerce and Industry and at the 23 LGAs Headquarters to reach out to all businesses in the State. The State Chairman of NASME, Mr. Dogala Sakpege who led other State Exco members to the courtesy visit had earlier informed the Chamber President that his team were in the Chamber to inform the  President about their emergence as the State  Chairman and Exco in their AGM held on 24th August, 2023 in Port Harcourt, and to introduce the new  Exco members of NASME in the State. He also commended the Chamber President for including NASME members for profiling to benefit from the Bank of Industry loan facility, and assured the Chamber President of their support and readiness to work with the Chamber in executing the MSMEs and  SMEs project. He also assured the Chamber President of his members participation  in the 17th edition of the Port Harcourt International Trade Fair, holding at Isaac Boro Park from 6th to 20th December, 2023. Other members of NASME Exco present were Mrs. Adeleke Oluwatoyin Mary – State Secretary, Mrs. Stephanie Akunjeri Osoh – Treasurer and Dr. Anastasia Akpebe – Public Relations Officer. The Chamber Director General Mr. Erasmus Chukunda, Accountant Mrs. Umazuke Josiah, ICT Officer Mr. Felix Ude and the Business Development Officer Mr. Godfirst Belema Anaka joined the President to welcome the August visitors
