PHCCIMA PRESIDENT INSPIRES YOUNG MINDS TO THINK BUSINESS, INVESTMENT – STUDENT OF POPE JOHN PAUL II, BORI

The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, JP, FNIM, NPOM, DSSRS, has advised young minds especially the Youths to start thinking of Business investments in order to become business owners and investors of the future.
He stated this while addressing the staff and students of Pope John Paul 11 College, Bori in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State who were at the Chamber Secretariat excursion visit Tuesday, in Port Harcourt.
According to the President, thinking of business and investment while young will inspire them to refrain from the present moral decadence that has engulfed the society and make them useful citizens of the Country.
The Chamber President commended the staff of the College for thinking out of the box to bring them to the organisation where their future in business is discussedĀ  and formally welcomed them to theĀ  Chamber where companies and enterprises meet to discuss issues of mutual benefit.
The Chamber Director General, Mr. Erasmus Chukunda in his exposition of the history of Chambers of Commerce in the world, its roles and significance to members and citizens, informed the students that the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce was established in 1957 while the Lagos Chamber of Commerce was the first Chamber in Nigeria established in 1888 and the 1st Chamber of Commerce officially inaugurated worldwide was traced to Marseille, France in 1599. He also informed the Students that PHCCIMA members are mainly Companies in different sectors of the economy who carry out different business activities that are of great benefits to the society, and that the Chamber protects and provides services to its members for their growth and expansion
