The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, JP, FNIM, DSSRS attended the 25th Annual General Meeting of the International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria (ICC Nigeria) held on Thursday, 11th July, 2024 at the NECA House, Plot A2 Hakeem Balogun Way, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
The prestigious gathering recognized the President’s outstanding contributions to the business community and conferred PHCCIMA the esteemed award of Distinguished Member of the ICC Nigeria. These accolades on the President and the Chamber acknowledge the President’s tireless efforts in promoting commerce, trade, investment, and economic growth in Rivers State and the Country at large, and solidifying PHCCIMA position as a respected member in the Global Chamber Movement.
In appreciation, Sir Elechi, thanked ICC Nigeria for honouring PHCCIMA and urged the ICC Nigeria to do more in promoting the visibility of Member Chambers globally.
Change of Leadership at INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, NIGERIA.
At the Board Meeting held today,11 July 2024, Mr Babatunde Savage FCA, bows out as Chairman of the INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, NIGERIA (ICC Nigeria ), after ten (10) years of meritorious and selfless service as Chairman.
This announcement was made by him at the Board meeting.
Chief (Dr.) Raymond Ihyembe, OON takes over as Chairman of ICC Nigeria, whilst Prof. Dorothy Udeme Ufot,SAN was appointed the Vice Chairman of ICC Nigeria. Professor Ufot now doubles as Vice Chairman of ICC Nigeria and Chairman of the ICC Nigeria Arbitration and ADR Commission.
Dr. (Mrs.) Omolara Akanji was appointed Treasurer of ICC Nigeria and Chairman of ICCN Commission on Banking. Mr. Babatunde Savage becomes the Honourary Chairman of the ICC Nigeria Board in line with the ICC Global style of ensuring sustainability and continuity in leadership.
All the above appointments were ratified by members at the AGM which took place today.
