PHCCIMA SECRETARIAT COMMENCES RSG/PHCCIMA MSMEs & SMEs DATABASE REGISTRATION

In a bid to realize the objectives of the Rivers State Ministry of Commerce & Industry/PHCCIMA MSMES/SMEs registration and database capturing program, PHCCIMA Secretariat has kickstarted the registration and data capture of MSMEs and SMEs members and non members of the only Premier Chamber in the South-East of Nigeria. The database capturing program which started on Friday 13th October, 2023 at the Chamber Secretariat, 4th Floor Assotel Building, 85B ABA Road, Garrison Bus Stop, Port Harcourt witnessed mass rush of businesses of various categories to be counted as first to embrace the laudable and business friendly policy of His Excellence, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State. The program is aimed at registering and capturing all businesses including Cooperative Societies for production ofaccurate database of genuine businesses in the entire Rivers State including the 23 LGAs of the State. The  database of genuine businesses in the state will not only be useful in producing a new business directory or yellow pages for the state but will arm the state government in policy development and decision making towards better business environment, provision of grants and loan facilities to the captured businesses in the State. The Director General, Mr. Erasmus Chukunda asserted that since the launching of the program on Friday 22nd September, 2023 by the Chamber President, Eze Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, JP, FNIM, DSSRS, the Permanent Secretaries of the State Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Lawson Ikuru his Agriculture counterpart Mr. Maurice Ogolo, past Presidents, Exco, Council, members and other dignitaries present, the Chamber of Commerce has witnessed increased activities including profiling of over 160 MSMEs and SMEs for the Bank of Industry Loan Facility, Membership registration, issuance of Certificate of Origin for Exports and now the capturing of businesses. PHCCIMA Secretariat is one of the centres for the database/business registration, the State Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the 23 LGAs also have centres for the program. The Director General is therefore inviting members and non members of the Chamber to make use of this great opportunity to visit the Chamber Secretariat to register their businesses, the registration process starts from 10am to 5pm daily at the Chamber Secretariat. The Chamber Secretariat has engaged an NYSC Staff Miss Promise Idongesit Umoh who is specialized in entrepreneurship development to take up the job daily in earnest as shown in the above pictures.
