… CONFERS HIM HONORARY MEMBER OF PHCCIMA
As the South South Regional Coordinator of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Joe Itah proceeds on transfer from the Port Harcourt to Abuja, the federal capital territory, the President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) Eze, Sir, Mike Elechi, JP, FNIM, NPOM, has described him as an achiever whose contributions to the success of the agency cannot be overemphasized.
Eze Elechi made the statement during a stakeholders forum and lunchtime put together by the federal agency in Port Harcourt last Friday, saying that the Mr. Joe Itah was instrumental for the creation of One Stop Shop an idea that brings together all Federal and State government agencies and other corporate organizations to network on several business support services under the watch of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce.
Eze Elechi who is the Chairman of Rivers State Productivity Committee maintained that the celebrant is full of ideas as his exit out of Port Harcourt will create a vacuum and he will be greatly missed, and wished that his successor will emulate his lofty ideas and put it into practice so that NEPC will continue to maintain its standard in the region.
The PHCCIMA Boss who conferred on Mr. Joe Itah, Honorary Membership of PHCCIMA added that the conferment of the honorary membership of PHCCIMA to the outgoing NEPC South South Regional Coordinator was a parting gift to recognize his lofty ideas and contributions to the Chamber as well as the entire Organised Private Sector in the region.
Responding to the encomium poured on him by his friends and well wishers, the outgoing South South Regional Coordinator, Mr. Joe Itah expressed joy for the honour done him by his friends, saying that he was determined to achieve success and urged the staff of the agency to extend same cooperation to his successor.
In his speech the new South South Regional Coordinator of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Mr. Ganiyu Ahmed said that he needed no prophet to tell him that his predecessor has done well, adding that the Stakeholders Forum has given him the opportunity to meet the people that matters in the industry.
He emphasized that NEPC is primarily charged with the responsibility of promoting the non oil sector hence his appealed to his staff and all the stakeholders in non oil sector to rally round him to succeed.
