  • Post category:Newsletter

The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga has expressed gratitude to members for the continued support for her led administration even as she attains the 100-day milestone as President, assuring that pursuit of business-enhancing ideals that will stimulate growth, innovation, ease of doing business, including establishing valuable linkages for members will continue to be a topmost priority of the present administration.

This was the PHCCIMA boss’ assertion during the 2025 1st Quarterly Forum held at the PHCCIMA Conference Hall in Port Harcourt.

Welcoming past Presidents, members and invited agencies that attended the General Forum she explained that attendance was affected by the political situation in the state, specifically expressing regret that the French Ambassador to Nigeria who arrived in the state the previous day to make a presentation at this crucial event could not attend due to the adverse situation in Rivers State.
She noted that the General Forum was a significant quarterly program of the Chamber, which usually allows the Chamber and its partners to make presentations on critical areas of business by different agencies and organs of the Chamber as a means of enriching the members and also appraising the activities of the Chamber within the quarter. Dr Nwoga assured everyone that the General Forum would continue to be beneficial to all not withstanding the prevalent political tension in the state.

Reeling out some strides of her administration in the past 100 days she captured successes in the area of the membership drive, top-notch relationships with government, collaborations and agreements with business facilitation agencies, strengthening ties with international embassies, visits to members’ facilities, attending valuable programs to equip our members, inaugurating our various trade groups and committees which forms the heart of the chamber and securing super deals for members on hotel services among others.
The forum which had in attendance past Presidents, and relevant agencies witnessed high points including the presentation of the 2025 budget, Trade Group and Committee Chairmen’s report, induction of new PHCCIMA members and a mind blowing presentation on her 100 days in office.
