PHCCIMA: DR CHINYERE NWOGA CHAIRS RSTV 41ST ANNIVERSARY EVENT …RECEIVES ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD

The President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, served as Chairman of the Occasion at the 41st Anniversary Award and Presentation Ceremony of Rivers State Television (RSTV), where she commended the station for over four decades of impactful broadcasting and service to society.

In her address, Dr. Nwoga congratulated RSTV for its enduring role in public enlightenment, education, cultural promotion, and responsible journalism. She noted that the station has remained a vital bridge between government, businesses, and citizens, while consistently providing visibility for entrepreneurs, SMEs, investors, and the organised private sector.

The PHCCIMA President emphasized the critical role of the media in driving economic growth, investment promotion, and sustainable development, describing RSTV as a trusted partner in advancing positive narratives that strengthen investor confidence and business opportunities in Rivers State.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of an Award of Appreciation to Dr. Nwoga in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the promotion of youth and women’s entrepreneurial development. As Chairman of the Occasion, she also presented an award to Sir Dr. Honour Kuru Sirawoo and formally unveiled the 41st Anniversary Magazine of RSTV.

She further commended the Acting General Manager, Paul Damgbor, for his leadership and commitment to sustaining the station’s legacy of professionalism and excellence.

The PHCCIMA delegation at the event included Chief Ernest Elochukwu, Chief Emeka Ezekwe, Soji Iyalla and Richard Okiasa. The anniversary celebration also honoured distinguished staff, former General Managers, and Assistant General Managers whose contributions have shaped RSTV’s remarkable legacy.
