PHCCIMA BOSS LISTS ACHIEVEMENTS IN OFFICE AT THE CHAMBER 2022 AGM

The President, Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, JP, FNIM, NPOM has credited more than 21 projects and other activities to his administration under one year in office.

Eze Elechi made this known during the Chamber’s 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM), at its Secretariat in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

 The achievements, he listed included,  resuscitation of all structures of the Chamber, plus trade groups, working committees and improved regular networking and business advisory services.
According to him, it has also conducted three membership induction ceremonies and inducted 32 new members into the membership of the Chamber.

He also pointed out that his administration have unveiled the PHCCIMA Corporate Profile and Rivers State Investment Compendium and what it described as continued dissemination of business news and information to members.

 Another archivement of the Chamber under his watch, was the resucitation of the Chamber Member’s monthly development fora for members’ enlightenment and business development.
” We have assumed the position of 2nd Deputy President Ex – Officio of NACCIMA. We have held an EGM for appointment of a new Auditor for the Chamber” , he added.

These,  he stressed, would not have been feasible without the contribution and support of the entire Chamber members.

 The PHCCIMA Head, who also is the Chief Executive Officer of Vintage Farms and Products Ltd and Chairman National Productivity Committee, Rivers State Chapter said that part of the reason for the 2022 AGM was the presentation of it’s stewardship and the 2021 Audited Accounts of the Chamber and to fill the  vacant position of the Elected Council member.

 “I appreciate everyone of you here for your valued contributions and support you have given me and my administration since our inauguration more than one year ago and your commitment towards a sustainable growth and development of the Chamber”, he said.

 Climax of the event was the election and subsequent swearing -in of Amb . Clement Akanibo as an elected Council Member of PHCCIMA even as the Auditor of the Chamber, Mr. Silas Igwe rendered 2021Audited  Account and the Management Account of the Chamber from January to October 2022 and inauguration of the  Chamber Constitution review Committee. Distinguished members and guests present at the successful AGM were the Exco members, Past Presidents, Elected Council members, representatives of the Hon. Commissioners of Commerce and Industry, and that of Agriculture, distinguished members, the Director General, Staff and Pressmen as shown in the above pictures gallery.
