PHCCIMA, Beach Harcourt Club To Explore & Promote Rivers Tourism Potentials

PHCCIMA, Beach Harcourt Club To Explore & Promote Rivers Tourism Potential sort Harcourt Chamber of Commerce and renowned tourism development group, Beach Harcourt Club are set to work closely to explore and promote the tourism potentials of the state, including efforts at ensuring a thriving blue economy.
This was the indication as a delegation of Beach Harcourt club members paid a courtesy call on PHCCIMA President, Dr Chinyere Nwoga at the Corporate office in Port Harcourt.
Making his remark, the Leader of the delegation and club President, Walter Aberepikima stated that the visit is strategic as it aims to seek a more profound partnership with PHCCIMA, one that will help the group achieve set objectives.
He said, “Beach Harcourt club is a passionate initiative with a clear mission and vision – to showcase the stunning beaches of Rivers state, to capture the attention of both government and investors.” According to him, the club believes in the immense potential of Rivers coastal areas including development of a thriving blue economy in the niger delta region.
Going back memory lane, he disclosed that the club was formed out of the Interest of members in Beach development across the state to increase our environmental scenery ‘”Madam President, we are excited to say that the vision which started about 2 years ago within the  Andoni part of the state has grown phenomenally in its membership ever since, bringing people, particularly the young generation to participate in our environmental and tourism development, including our transformational programs.
In her response, the PHCCIMA President, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga appreciated the visit and commended their efforts and quest for collaboration. She noted that PHCCIMA is the second largest  Chamber in the country, and the voice of the organized private sector in the state, hence, PHCCIMA is always open to synergizing with groups that are engaged in healthy initiatives capable of entrenching value to the private sector and stimulating the economy of the state.
She assured them that the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce will look inward to possible areas of partnership, even as she urged them to join membership of the Chamber in a bid to leverage PHCCIMA’s brand, vast network, and strategic connections across relevant authorities to help the club achieve goals beyond their dreams.
The Chairman of the Tourism and Hospitality Trade Group of the Chamber, Mrs Ayo Sokari commended the Beach Harcourt Club initiative strongly expressing her Trade Group’s preparedness to work closely with them to achieve their noble objectives that tarry with the corporate objectives of the Trade group.

Mrs. Mina Charles Anyanwu a member of the club in her vote of thanks expressed hope that the interaction with PHCCIMA will open new doors, suggesting that the PHCCIMA President be conferred with honorary Membership of the Club, also in the delegation was Mr. Dokubo Arthur.
