NNPC POWER & GAS INVESTMENT SERVICES TEAM VISITS PHCCIMA, DISCUSSES BUSINESS MODELS

It was yet another opportunity to brainstorm on business reality in the gas & power sector in Nigeria as the commercial team of the NNPC Power and Gas Investment Services paid a working visit to  Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA).
 Speaking at the event, the PHCCIMA President, Eze, Sir, Mike Elechi, JP, FNIM, NPOM, urged the NNPC Gas and power  investment services commercial team to live up to expectations in the gas and power value chain by ensuring that their products and services get to the ordinary Nigerians whose raw materials were exploited in the production of the Gas and got nothing in exchange.
 The Chamber President lamented that the Notore company, Indorama/Eleme Petrochemical Company and other multiplayer companies source their raw materials locally in Port Harcourt and it’s environs yet farmers and other end users in the state cannot access the products rather they export it to other states of the federation and overseas.
 He promised the NNPC team of the Chamber cooperation to ensure that they got to their target audience and enjoined them to register with the Chamber as Corporate member and have their due advantage.
 In his speech, the leader of the team Engr. John Umoh who was accompanied  by six other team members, explained that NNPC Gas and Power Investment Services (NGPIS) is mandated to promote domestic gas utilization, monetize abundance natural gas reserve in Nigeria and maximize profitable investments across the various business streams of power and gas based industries.
 He maintained that part of their business interests includes partnership and collaboration with reputable Industries and investors both local and international in energy sector for business growth and expansions, thereby deepening profitable investments in the  gas value chain for mutual commercial benefits.
 The NNPC boss maintained that they they have both long term and short term Investments in power and gas including Brass Fertilizer power plant, Ekeki Gas pipeline project, Obite power plant among others, hence their visit to the Port  Harcourt City Chamber of Commerce for partnership and collaboration to navigate off takers in the projects and give adequate publicity (road show, media adverts) and business networking.
 In his vote of thanks, the immediate past president of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) Chief Nabil Saleh, OFR, NPOM, DSSRS thanked the NNPC commercial team for the idea and thought of collaborating with the Chamber, adding that it’s a perfect place for the investment visit since the Chamber has the contacts to mobilize for effective business delivery.
 The event which also had an interactive section was climaxed with the presentation of souvenirs to the visitors.
 Other valued members of the Chamber who joined the President receive the NNPC Commercial Team and actively participated in the interactive session where the Managing Director of GGI Group and the Chairman of Professional Services and General Consultancy Trade  Group,  Sir, Dr. Innocent Akuvue, the Managing Director of Osforce Nigeria Ltd and Chairman of Energy & Power Trade Group, Engr. Tony Nwogbo, Managing Director of Frazimex and Representative of Oilserv Group, Engr. Chuka Eze, the General Manager of Frazpower of Oilserv Group, the Human  Resources Manager of Danelec Ltd, Mr. Adam I. Bluejack, a Representative of the Managing Director of Goddie Chemicals International Ltd, Chief, Engr. Godwin Etim, an ICT Consultant, Mr. Dumale Igbara, and the Chamber Director, Mr. Erasmus Chukunda as shown in the pictures gallery above.
