NEPC ED/CEO HOLDS INTERACTIVE MEETING WITH REGISTERED EXPORTERS & STAKEHOLDERS IN  PORT HARCOURT

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has ended its one day interactive stakeholders meeting between the Executive Director and Chief  Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Mrs. Nonye Ayeni and registered Exporters in the South South Region of Nigeria in Port Harcourt on Friday 3rd, 2024.
 In his address the Regional Coordinator of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, South-South Office, Mr. GANIYU AHMID GBOLAGADE said that the one day interactive stakeholders meeting was borne out of the interest of the ED/CEO to enhance Non-Oil export in Rivers State and the entire South South region, adding that the event could not have come at a better time than now when government is seeking various ways to diversify the economy away from oil and to discourage the near total dependency on oil as source of national income, adding that her visit had given Exporters in the region a renewed sense of belonging in line with the Renewed hope Agenda of President Amed Tinibu.
  In her speech, the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Mrs. Nonye Ayeni who expressed gladness at the number of Registered Exporters from the South South region, explained that the President Asiwaju Amed Tinibu led administration is putting serious efforts in the diversification of the economy driving towards non-oil sector.
  She noted that the federal government has much interest in the commercialization of home made products hence the need for the producers and exporters to show much commitment in producing quality homemade goods that will meet international standards.
  The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, NPOM, JP, FNIM, DSSRS who was represented by the Chamber Director General, Mr Erasmus Chukunda commended the NEPC for their steadfastness towards achieving results in the non -oil sector of the economy, adding that PHCCIMA has always been available and supported her flagship partner NEPC achieve her goals in the export sector. The Chamber Director General on behalf of the President commended the ED/CEO of NEPC for visiting Port Harcourt to hold face to face interaction with the exporters
