MR. ERASMUS ELECHI CHUKUNDA, FCAI, MNIM

Director General (PHCCIMA)

Mr. Erasmus E. Chukunda was born on 12th June, 1966 at Oduoha-Emohua in Emohua LGA of Rivers State. He is currently the Director General of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA).

Mr. Chukunda had his Primary Education at State School 1 Elele and Secondary School at County Grammar School Ikwerre Etche. He proceeded for his Tertiary Education to Federal College of Education Technical, Akoka-Lagos where he obtained N.C.E (Tech) in Accountancy, holds University of Port Harcourt, Bachelor of Business Education Degree. He is a Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria and Member Nigerian Institute of Management Chartered. A seasoned Accountant and Administrator who rose to the ranks of Finance Manager, Estate Manager and Member Interim Management Board of the Rivers State owned Oil Palm Company, Rison Palm Ltd, where he served for 22 years before his present appointment with the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Chukunda thereafter has held the following offices; Manager, MBO of Rivers State Oil Palm Cluster of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Port Harcourt.

Member, Technical Review Committee on Nigeria Palm Oil Policies, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission and Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Abuja. Chairman, Oil Palm Growers Association of Nigeria (OPGAN), Rivers State Chapter. Excellent Service Award Recipient as Member Advisory Committee on Niger Delta Youth Employment Pathway Project of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), Port Harcourt.

A member, Nigeria’s delegates to the Youths Employability Courses in Harambee Accelerators, Johannesburg, South Africa, October, 2017, sponsored by Ford Foundation A member, Nigeria’s delegates to the 10 th Annual Conference of the Enterprise Europe Network held in Vienna, Austria, October, 2018 sponsored by the European Union (EASME).

Mr. Erasmus Chukunda is a Football Ambassador of Rivers State, he won the Ikwerre LGA Chairman’s Cup in 1992 and the Governor’s Cup in 1994 as team Captain, and has represented the State in National Sports Festivals, YSFON and Academicals Football Competitions.
