DR CHINYERE NWOGA INAUGURATES R/S WCCIMA…CHARGES GROUP TO ADVANCE THE COURSE OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR

President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, on 28th January, 2025 officially inaugurated executives of the River state chapter of the Women Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (WCCIMA), charging them to drive the group through harnessing the potential of women entrepreneurs and providing the necessary support to empower members to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Dr. Nwoga, who inaugurated Her Royal Majesty, High Chief Dr Mrs. Patricia Ogbonnaya, as Coordinator, and Madam Patricia Ihunze as deputy coordinator, noted that they were carefully chosen based on their proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

She explained that WCCIMA is a dynamic body inside the chamber movement dedicated to advancing the development and achievement of Nigerian women in commerce and industry through strategic initiatives, advocacy, and collaboration.

Congratulating them on the appointment, Dr. Nwoga expressed belief that this leadership will propel Rivers state WCCIMA to achieve new heights, fostering an environment where women’s contributions to commerce and industry will not only be recognized but celebrated.”

The PHCCIMA president assured HRM, Dr. Mrs. Patricia Ogbonanya led group that Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce will strive to provide all the necessary tools and support required to ensure they succeed in the task ahead.

In her response, the newly inaugurated Coordinator of Rivers State WCCIMA, HRM. High Chief Dr. Mrs. Patricia Ogbonnaya, expressed gratitude to the PHCCIMA President for finding her and the team worthy of this very strategic appointment. She assured her that the group will strive to keep up with her known quest for excellence to ultimately repose the confidence placed on them. She pledged to come up with a vision and strategic approach to further strengthen the mission to empower, advance and advocate for women to drive positive change in commerce and industry.

Dr. Mrs. Ogbannaya used the occasion to formally congratulate the PHCCIMA boss for shattering the ceiling and becoming the first female PHCCIMA president, praying for God’s guidance and wisdom throughout her tenure.
