DR. CHINYERE NWOGA
1st Deputy President (PHCCIMA)
Dr. Chinyere Nwoga is the 1st Deputy President Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, the first and only female to enter in the Presidency of PHCCIMA since its inception in 1958.
Dr. Nwoga has gathered over 35 years of cross-industry experience. From 1987 to 1991, she worked as a Radio Presenter at Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) FM, Owerri. In 1990, she moved to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where she became the Corporate Affairs Manager/ Special Adviser to the Chairman Erijoy Nigeria Ltd. From 1992 to 1997, she was Corporate Affairs Manager of a Shipping & Logistics company Revic International Ltd.1997 saw Dr. Chinyere Nwoga move into publishing. She rose to become the Regional Representative South-South/South East Fourth Dimension Publishing Company. In 200, she worked as the General Manager at Visa Karena Hotels Port Harcourt, and by 2003, she became the Managing Director Taraba Fisheries Ltd. a company that managed the biggest fisheries Coastal Terminal in the country, located in Borikiri, Rivers State. This facility owned by Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources which had the capacity to accommodate over 40 vessels at any given time, had a docking section for vessel repairs, and an aluminum boat building section. She has to date, been the only female to manage a Federal Government owned terminal.
By 2009, Dr. Nwoga started her own Human Capital Development outfit Soluzone Ltd, where she is the Managing Consultant. Dr Chinyere Nwoga is one of the few leading women in the Chamber of Commerce Movement within the South East South South region of the country. She has been an active advocate of the Chamber for over 2 decades, and within this time she has served in various capacities. These include:

Dr Nwoga is currently the Vice Chairman of the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria,
South East South South, being the 1st female to hold that position. She is a Fellow of a number of Institutes, including Fellow, International Association of Research Scholars & Administrators (FIARSAC), Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administrators (FICA), Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), Member, Institute of Directors (M.IoD). She is also a Certified Management
Consultant (CMC), and a Senior Research Fellow, International Association of Research Scholars & Administrators (SFIARSAC) Delaware USA.
Dr Chinyere Nwoga is an author of a number of books and articles in International journals. One of them is The World She Knew which is published in the UK, and has been translated into many languages. Another is Going Place; A Career Guide. She is also a Contributor to a UNESCO published book ‘The Book Chain in Africa’
