As the 16th Port Harcourt International Trade Fair closes on Tuesday 20th December, 2022 Exhibitors at the fair will be issued certificates of participation, the President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, JP FNIM, NPOM, confirmed this while presenting his remarks at the Hospitality & Tourism Special Day celebration at the 16th Port Harcourt International Trade Fair ground, Yakubu Gowon stadium, Elekahia in Port Harcourt, adding that the hosting of the two weeks trade fair activities in the state capital without any security breach was a testimony that Rivers State is peaceful and ripped to host international investors coming to do business in the state.
While expressing satisfaction with the giant strides recorded by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON led administration in the state with particular emphasis on good road network which has reconnected urban and rural areas where by locally produced goods now have easy access to the market, and thanked past Presidents of PHCCIMA and other members for being supportive to his administration.
In his speech the former President of PHCCIMA, Prince Dr. Sotubo Billy Billy Gillis-Harry congratulated Eze, Sir Mike Elechi, JP for bringing back the lost glory of the Port Harcourt International trade fair and the successful hosting of its 16th edition, and expressed his belief that next year trade fair will be greater and better than this year’ outing.
In his vote of thanks Chief Engr. Godwin Etim thanked participats especially the Exhibitors for making this year’s Trade Fair a success.
Earlier in her presentation, the Chairman of the Hospitality and Tourism trade group, Mrs. Florence Nwosibe who welcomed participants to the Tourism Special Day, gave more insight on the significance of the event and charged all and sundry to relax and watch the various entertainment groups display.
Highlight of the event were cultural display from Owhemgbe marskrad group of Wojin and Cultural dancing group of Isiokpo.
