Our President Dr. Chinyere Nwoga FIMC, FIATSAC, FICA witnessed the decoration of Past President Chief Nabil Saleh as a Distinguished Personality of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRCS) in recognition of his contributions in improving the services of FRSC in the State. This has enhanced a strong partnership with the Organized Private Sector (OPS) .
This partnership is warranted by the important role FRSC plays particularly in the economy. According to her this is because if we don’t drive safely, there may be casualties, and that will affect businesses.
On her responsibility as the President Dr. Chinyere informed her hosts that the primary role of the Chamber is advocacy for the private sector. The Chamber to provide business opportunities, networking and information to members so that businesses will thrive. When businesses thrive, the economy grows.
She emphasised the need to work with government to ensure that the enabling infrastructure is provided to do business.
The President confirmed the willingness of the Chamber to continue to partner with the FRSC because of the work they do to save lives. We have to be alive to do business , she concluded.
